Little red wagon and such!

We are hard at work on preparing the yard for our new and improved natural playground for our toddlers.  With the help of Lowes in Snellville, GA that dream will become a reality the first weekend in April.  Meanwhile, I have been gathering a couple of things to give the children some more creative ways to play outdoors with their friends.  Thus the LITTLE RED WAGON!  I found it at a thrift store for a mere $25.00. (which for a radio flyer that was a good deal, not to mention it was put together already.)  The art of playing with a wagon with children I have found is to establish some very simple rules.
                              1.Wagons are for pulling, not pushing.
                              2. Hands stay in the wagon at all times
                              3. No running while pulling the wagon
With just those simple rules children can and will be able to use this for fun filled adventures on our primary playground.

It has been awhile since I have had a chance to post our progress. We have completed our bricked outline of our digging space and I have to say it is a big hit with the children. With a few shovels and some metal mixing bowls hours of fun are in store. Can't wait till the weather gets warm enough to add some water for some more good old fashion mud pies! Next in store will be our teepee. I am looking for the right trees for that project and hope to have it completed soon.
